The Maypearl Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is proud to offer a Façade Improvement Matching Grant to help local businesses enhance their curb appeal and create a more vibrant downtown.

This grant provides financial assistance for exterior improvements, such as painting, signage, and awnings. As a matching grant, the program is a partnership—the EDC will match your investment at a 1:1 dollar match with a maximum grant of $7,000.

By working together, we can help you update your historic building and contribute to the overall revitalization of our downtown. Please note, to be considered for the grant, work on the project must not have been started prior to the application.

Proposal bids shall be submitted on the contractor’s letterhead and shall contain the contractor’s name, address, telephone number, email and shall itemize the bid in a manner that allows city staff to determine the authenticity of the bid. If you are doing the work yourself, please have costs or bids prepared for materials.

I have met with the Façade Grant Program Standing Committee and have read and fully understand the Façade Improvement Matching Grant program policies and procedures. I intend to use this grant program for the aforementioned renovation projects to improve my property and business. I have not received, nor will I receive, insurance monies for this redevelopment project.

I understand that the criteria of the Maypearl EDC – Type B Façade Grant takes precedence over any other (local, state or federal) grants I may be utilizing and I understand that all design work needs to be kept as close as possible to original design to maintain the historic look of the downtown area.

I understand that if awarded this grant, any deviation from the approved project may result in partial or total withdrawal of the grant. Further, I understand that I will have six months to complete my project unless an amended project timeline is approved by the Maypearl Economic Development Corporation – Type B and the Maypearl City Council.
