Payment Options
We accept payments in the form of cashier’s checks, money orders, and most major credit cards. Our credit card processing company charges a percentage. We do not accept personal checks.

Payments In-Person
You can pay in person at the court window located at Maypearl City Hall:

- Please be prepared to provide your full name, date of birth, driver’s license number, and/or ticket number to the clerk to complete payment.
- If paying by cashier’s check or money order you may utilize the night drop box located outside the front door of City Hall. Please place your payment and identifying information (full name, date of birth, driver’s license number, and/or ticket number) in an envelope for processing.

Payment Arrangements
- If you are unable to pay you may submit an affidavit of inability to pay, once submitted your case will be set for court.
- Extensions and payment plans are sometimes available. Your payment arrangement request must be received on or before your appearance date on your citation.
- If you require more than 30 days to pay your fine in full, a fee of $15 will be added for each offense, as required by state law.
Consequences of Neglecting a Ticket
Failure to pay your fine, show proof of compliance, apply for a driver’s safety course or deferred disposition on or before your appearance date, or failure to appear by your scheduled court date and time will result in:
- A separate charge for Failure to Appear (FTA) of $144. Inability to pay the fine is not an excuse for failing to appear. Fine payment arrangements can be requested.
- Denial of Driver’s License issuance or renewal and denial of vehicle registration. To clear your Driver’s License or registration, you must pay a $10 Department of Public Safety (DPS) notification fee for each case.
- Referral to a collections vendor will result in an additional fee of 30% of the total fine.
