Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement is in place to help protect the Health, Safety, and Welfare of the community and to keep our community as attractive and safe as possible for everyone.

The Code Enforcement Officer executes the enforcement of city ordinances, state laws, and applicable codes as they pertain to areas of a nuisance, illegal signage, high grass/weeds, junk/debris/trash, inoperable vehicles and illegal dumping.

The department also assists citizens by directing them to the proper County, State or Federal agencies for services.

The goal of this department is to protect the life, health, property, safety, and welfare of the public.

  • Fence requirements
  • Illegal Dumping
  • Junk Vehicles
  • Residential off street parking
  • Tall vegetation (over 12 inches)
  • Substandard and/or Dangerous Buildings
