During this holiday season, we want to help Cease The Grease that goes down our drains and into our city pipes from all those hams and turkeys that are centerpieces at your dinner tables!
The City of Maypearl is pleased to announce that we are participating in the Holiday Grease Roundup! From November 22 – January 10, all City of Maypearl residents may bring their used cooking oil and grease to City Hall during our regular business hours for recycling. The recycled cooking oil and grease collected during this time frame will be turned into biodiesel and biogas for energy production.
So…come on down and help defend your drains and drop off your used cooking oil and grease during our regularly scheduled hours from 8 am to noon, 1 pm to 5 pm in the special collection container located by our dumpsters this holiday season!

The Maypearl Type B Board has approved expenditures of $3,400 for the July 2nd Fireworks Display and $15,000 for improvements on the Old Wiggins gas station which is being turned into a Brewing Tap Room. The funds would be used to replace the roof and make improvements and dirt work to the back yard to prevent flooding issues, including matching funds.

Beginning April 5, our trash pickup days will change to Tuesday and Friday. Beginning June 1, 2021, the collection rate will be $17.50 with each resident and light commercial receiving a cart.
The city is experiencing a problem with the buzzard population. Please keep your outside trash containers and dumpsters covered & the lids fastened. We will be taking steps to disrupt their roosting, however, we also need to eliminate their food source. You may at times, towards evening, hear booming sounds this is part of the process of disrupting them. Please bear with us and help us get rid of these birds.
PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH OR DISPOSE any NON-ORGANIC matter down your toilet or sink. This includes, but not limited to Flushable Wet Wipes, Feminine Products, Grease, Clothing, Paper Towels, Silverware. These things all plug up the sewer.
As a reminder, please familiarize yourself & your household with the city ordinances that we are all responsible for following: pet licensing & shots, nuisance/barking animals, junk cars, trash, weeds, blocking alleys and streets, overweight vehicles parking in the city, building permits, etc. We have the police force and they are beginning to issue citations for ordinance violations.
Wilemon Park is beginning to show amazing signs of progress. Much construction is still going on there. Once the park is available for use, there will be a calendar kept at City Hall. Please call to get your event on the calendar.
